Josephine Louise Boucher

Josephine Louise (Leonard) Boucher, 95, formerly of Kingstown, R.I., died on May 28 at the Cra-Mar Meadows Health Care in Cranston. She was the wife of the late Howard O. Boucher.

  She is survived by two daughters Dorothea B. O’Byrne and her husband, John, of Newtown and Joan B. Roberts of Mystic, Conn.; one granddaughter Lynda R. Bartholomy and her husband, Paul, of Coventry; and four great-grandchildren, Gary, Victoria, Jessica, and Rebecca. 

Born in Providence, Mrs Boucher was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Dorothea (Sherwood) Leonard.  She had served as an administrative assistant for the superintendent of Cranston schools for many years. She was also a former member of Cranston Employees Retirees Association, past advisor of West Bay Rainbow Alumni, past advisor and grand advisor for Cranston Rainbow Alumni, member of the Signet Chapter #21 Order of the Eastern Star, Oaklawn Grange #42, and past president of the John Clark Retirement Home in Portsmouth. She was also a member of the Oaklawn Community Baptist Church.

A memorial service was scheduled for June 8 at Oaklawn Community Baptist Church in Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Odyssey Health Care, 100 Quaker Lane, Suite #2, Warwick RI 02886, or to Save The Bay, 434 Smith Street, Providence RI 02908 would be appreciated.
