Former Respiratory Therapist At Hospital Of St Raphael

Joan B. O’Neill, 73, beloved wife of the late Donald Doehrer, formerly of Milford before moving to Bridgton, Maine, died June 2 in Bridgton Health Care. A daughter of the late Carl and Stella Staron Magnuson, she was born on December 30, 1932, in Bridgeport.

Mrs O’Neill is survived by seven children, Joseph Doehrer of Newtown, Nancy Doehrer of New Hampshire, Donna Doehrer of Milford, Donald Doehrer, Christi Filanowski, and Carol Swinnen, all of Maine, and Jeffrey Doehrer of Washington; 12 grandchildren, John, Jason, Jolan, Jodi, Carly, Rory, Janelle, Katherine, Jules, Tiffany, Ashley, and Austin; 14 great-grandchildren, Malory, Allesandra, Aryanna, Kristofer, Alec, Magnus, Tyler, Dylan, Luciano, James, Evan, Liam, Andrew and Angelia; a sister, Judy Ferguson of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Carol and Sandra.

She was a respiratory therapist at the Hospital of St Raphael in New Haven before her retirement. She was a member of the Young Democratic Party and Milford Elks Lodge.

A funeral service was held on June 7 in the Cody-White Funeral Home, Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Mary Church. Interment was in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford.
