Help Urgently Needed For Clinics In Ghana

A few years ago Newtown Rotary Club and World Help Foundation (WHF) shipped 100 water purifying systems to Ghana. The government placed them in many clinics where they were desperately needed.

These many units now need spare filters and bulbs. Rotary and WHF are requesting assistance to fund an urgent project for replacement of the water filters and UV lamps for these systems. Each $50 contribution would mean continuation of the safe water in each clinic for a year.

Newtown Rotary and WHF are in the process of shipping a container of other goods, and including the replacement bulbs and filters, would be most practical.

Individuals and clubs wishing to assist in this water project need only to contribute a small amount to sponsor one or more units. Time is of the essence, as the container will be shipped within the next month.

Contributions should be sent to World Help Foundation, PO Box 500, Newtown CT 06470, with an indication that it is for Ghana Replacement Parts. For further information call Ed Osterman, president of WHF’s board of directors, at 426-0530.
