BookTalk At The Meadows:

The Character & Personality Of Teddy Roosevelt

On Wednesday, June 14, the next BookTalk at The Meadows program will welcome Gordon M. Williams as its guest speaker.

Mr Williams, a past president of Newtown Historical Society, will present a lecture focusing on “The Character and Personality of Teddy Roosevelt.” Information about Mr Roosevelt’s Presidency and achievements will be included.

It has been said that when people left Mr Roosevelt’s presence, “you had to wring him out of your clothes,” said program organizer Carolee Berlin. Recommended reading for this program includes Mornings on Horseback by David McCullough, just one of many books about Mr Roosevelt that Mr Williams has used as reference for his presentation.

The program will begin at 1:30 pm in the Community Room at Nunnawauk Meadows, 3 Nunnawauk Road. BookTalk programs are being hold on the second Wednesday of the month. Programs are free of admission.

For further information about this program, details about other upcoming programs or directions to Nunnawauk Meadows, contact Ms Berlin at 270-7257.
