New Milford Hospitalâs 19th Annual Cancer Survivors Program
NEW MILFORD â Certified laughter yoga instructor Joe Gillotti will be the featured guest speaker at New Milford Hospitalâs 19th Annual Cancer Survivors Celebration on Thursday, June 14. from 4 to 6 pm.
The annual program will be held at The Maxx, 94 Railroad Street. Event festivities start at 4 pm with delicious refreshments, followed by welcome remarks, special introductions, and a featured guest speaker presentation.
Seating for the free event is limited to a cancer survivor and one guest. A âcancer survivorâ is defined as anyone living with a history of cancer from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. Survivors face many challenges throughout the diagnosis and treatment cycles.Â
Despite these difficulties, cancer survivors can live active and productive lives. That is why the staff of the New Milford Hospital Regional Cancer Center is proud to celebrate with survivors at this event.
Introductory and commemorative remarks will be presented by Deborah Weymouth, senior vice president and executive director of New Milford Hospital, Sandra M. Lombardo, MD, New Milford Hospital medical oncologist/hematologist, radiation oncologist Joseph Bargellini, MD, and Barbara Davies, RN, Cancer Center manager.
The guest speaker presentation âLaughter â A Good Exercise for Your Healthâ with Mr Gillotti, explores how a healthy lifestyle can be a fun and energizing experience. Â
