Wisdom House Programs Planned
LITCHFIELD â Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center has a pair of programs planned this month.
The first, on Saturday, June 9, will be the tenth anniversary celebration of the Wisdom House Labyrinth. From 2 to 3 pm, Victoria Christgau and John Marshall will lead a celebration of song, dance, prayer, and drumming. There will also be a special appearance by Mark Alexanderâs Large Dove Puppets. Attendees are invited to bring a drum or a bell.
Refreshments will follow in the Peace Garden. Donations will be accepted for the new Wisdom House chapel windows.
The following weekend a two-day seminar, âExploring Catholic Culture â The Evolution of Leadership: The Past As Promise,â will be offered. This will run from 6 pm Friday, June 15, to 4 pm Saturday, June 16.
Led by Francine Cardman, PhD, the seminar will explore the development of leadership in the church, its past possibilities and present problems in the hope of finding the seeds of a promising future.
Fees range from $30 for Friday only (including dinner) or $85 for Saturday only to $100 for commuters, $125 for the full program, including meals and a shared room, $145 for the full program, meals, and a private room (shared bath), or $160 for the full program, meals and private bath. Vegetarian meals are available upon request.
