Scholarships Available

SOUTHBURY — The Foundation, Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut has college scholarships available this year from the Dr William Finkelstein Fund for young adults in the Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut’s service area.

Two scholarships will be offered each year. Applicants must be in need of financial assistance and display high academic achievement. Each Dr William Finkelstein Scholarship will be for $3,000 for one year.  

There will be no guarantee that an awardee for one year will have a scholarship for the following year, but they will be invited to reapply. Each award will be reexamined and all applicants will be measured against each other every year.

Awards are not limited to high school students entering college, but will be available for students entering their sophomore, junior, and senior years as well. Graduate students will not be considered at this time.
