Part Of The Process

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every citizen that took part in this year’s budget process. The process may not be perfect, but it is the one with which we all must abide.

To all those who attended the seemingly endless meetings, debated, and voted — thank you. Thank you for your support of the process. Make no mistake, whether you approved or disapproved of the actual budget, you made a difference simply by being involved in the process. Someone wiser than I once said that “if two people always agree with each other… one of them is unnecessary.”

To guide us through the coming fiscal year and to deal with the challenges that will present themselves as we continue to grow, every voice will be necessary. So, thank you for your comments, concerns, and commitment to the future of our town.
