FREE PASSES FOR SUMMER VISITORS IN KATONAH, ALDRICH MUSEUMS EXCHANGE

KATONAH, N.Y. â Beginning on July 1 and continuing through September 2, visitors to the Katonah Museum of Art will receive a pass for free admission to the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, Conn., while visitors to the Aldrich will receive a pass for free admission to the Katonah Museum.
This annual collaborative offer, now in its fourth year, is an effort to encourage attendance and to raise awareness of the exhibitions and programs at each of these institutions.
On view at the Katonah Museum of Art this summer will be the exhibition, âChildren Should Be Seen: The Image of the Child in American Picture Book Art,â which brings together approximately 85 works of original childrenâs illustrations in a comprehensive survey of the best American picture-book art of the last decade.
This summer, Aldrich exhibitions include âArturo Herrera: Castles, Dwarfs and Happychaps.â Herrera, with the help of his assistants, will use a Renaissance technique called pouncing to transfer a design from paper to the gallery wall.
