Regional Hospice Fundraising Breakfast Planned
MONROE — On Wednesday, June 15, the Newtown Giving Circle of Regional Hospice and Palliative Care will hold its 31st Summer Breakfast at The Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Drive (Route 34), just over the town line in Monroe.
The breakfast will be opened by the Newtown Police Color Guard at 8 am. As has been the standard for previous years, the full event will conclude in about an hour.
The event is being co-chaired by Marg Studley and Marie Sturdevant, with a committee comprised of Laurie Wrabel, Janet Hovious, Colleen Honan, Ellie Staib, Marilyn Alexander, and Marci Albanesi.
Many of Newtown’s businesses have donated prizes to be auctioned off to raise funds for Regional Hospice in its work of end of life care for patients and their families. Monsignor Robert Weiss will give the benediction. A guest speaker will also share their Regional Hospice story.
The breakfast is successful due to the many devoted and generous people who “buy” a table and invite guests to support the very worthwhile cause.
Anyone interested in sponsoring a table for $275 or who would like to attend is invited to contact Studley at 203-426-3651 or Sturdevant at 203-740-2733.
