R&R At The Roadside
R&R At The Roadside
To the Editor,
The families and scouts of Boy Scout Troop 370 would like to thank everyone who made our coffee stop such a huge success. Every Memorial Day weekend, BSA 370 has a community service project where we set up and man a coffee stop for 24 hours a day from Friday to Monday. We are only able to perform this project because of the generosity of the town of Newtown and contributions of the merchants.
In particular, we would like to thank the following for their donations: Town of Newtown â Department of Public Works, Newtown Parks & Recreation, Newtown Properties, Blue Colony Diner, Pizza Palace, The Drug Center, Subway Sandwiches, My Place Pizzeria, Sandy Hook Diner, Villa Restaurant, Newtown General Store, Cedar Hill Electric, Thomasâ Deli, Bagelman, Newtown Hardware, Grand Union of Newtown, Grand Union of Southbury, Stop & Shop, Dunkin Donuts of Newtown, Dunkin Donuts of Monroe, Dunkin Donuts of Southbury, Doughnut Inn, Associated Refuse, Newtown Shell, Berkshire Veterinary Clinic, Town of Newtown â Building and Health Departments and Pembroke Pumping Services.
Many people pulled together to make this coffee stop a success. We are truly grateful to all the merchants who helped to make this community service project possible and we look forward to serving our town again next Memorial Day weekend.
Many weary travelers stopped to take a break and have a cup of coffee. These people were extremely grateful for this service. We hope that we helped to make this holiday a safer one for all those travelers who passed our way.
Sincerely,
Susanne Zencey
Committee Member of BSA 370
