Summer History Camp Open
The Newtown Historical Society is now taking reservations for its 3rd annual Summer History Camp, which will be return July 21-25.
This is a unique, hands on camp experience geared to inquisitive young time travelers. Campers dress with costumes provided to make the 18th Century truly come alive each day during activities like playing marbles, churning butter, making ice cream, tin punching, open hearth cooking, colonial outdoor games and more.
Camp will meet at the Matthew Curtiss House, 44 Main Street, 10 am until 1 pm. The program is for children ages 8-10 and is limited to ten campers. Cost is $150 per child. For additional information call Gordon Williams at 426-6443.
