Spring Juried Art Show
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will present its 38th Annual Spring Juried Art Show at Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, from Saturday, June 7, through Sunday, June 15, during library hours.
Original works by artists from the western Connecticut region will be selected for the show by three distinguished jurors: Tom Brenner of Silvermine School of Art and Housatonic Community College, Edward DeVoe of Washington Art Association, and Barbara Grossman of Yale University.
The public is invited to meet the artists and view the show during the reception and awards ceremony on Sunday, June 8, from 2 to 4 pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown is a non-profit organization that promotes fine art in the western Connecticut region by sponsoring workshops, classes, exhibits, and twice-monthly demonstrations by professional artists.
