Local Man Faces Sex, Drug Charges
Police served warrants against a Pootatuck Park man at his home midday on June 4, arresting him on 19 serious offenses, many of them involving alleged sex, drugs, and illicit activity with underage persons.
The arrest stems from a complaint that police received last September 20 and then investigated.
Police arrested Ronald Swift, 42, of 45 Maplewood Trail. Swift was held by police overnight on $250,000 bail for a June 5 arraignment on the charges in Danbury Superior Court.
Charges pending against Swift include attempted second-degree sexual assault, attempted risk of injury or impairing the morals of minor, risk of injury or impairing the morals of a minor, second-degree sexual assault, sale of narcotics, sale of marijuana, delivery of alcohol to minors, and possession of narcotics.
Details on the alleged offenses were not available before deadline for this edition of The Bee.
Detective Michael McGowan headed the investigation into Swiftâs activities, police said.
