Joyce M. Cantore, 71, of Leesburg, Fla., and formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife of 52 years to Phillip Cantore, died May 31 in Clermont, Fla. She was born on May 10, 1937, in West Haven, to Michael and Madeline Binkoski Yuhas of East Haven.
In addition to her mother and devoted husband, she leaves a son, Phillip M. Cantore and his wife, Kathryn, of Newtown; and a daughter, Beth Ann C. Mathews and her husband, Timothy, of Chelmsford, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Kelsey and Brian Cantore, and Abigail and Meghan Mathews. She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Falco of Wolcott and Carol Ciechowski of Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Michael Yuhas of Guilford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Mark A. Cantore.
Mrs Cantore was a day care director and then became a realtor, before her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. A service was held June 5 in the Cody-White Funeral Home on the Green, Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church, West Haven. Interment followed in St Mary Cemetery, Milford.
