Service With A Smile

To the Editor:

The happiest department in Newtown is the Health Department. From Maureen, who greets everyone with a smile, to Donna McCarthy, the director of health, every employee treats the town residents with respect and proper concern for their needs.

Although I had an issue that required Donna to remind me to finish the work, she was always polite, courteous, and helpful. It’s not the fact that I had a problem, it was the way you approached and dealt with the solution.

Thank you Donna for being patient and understanding. You set a high standard which other town employees should emulate.
