Fairfield Hill Petition Ignored
Fairfield Hill Petition Ignored
To the Editor:
The petitions state, âI will support a master plan for Fairfield Hills that protects our quality of life by preserving the present open space for passive recreation and using the core campus for the municipal, cultural, recreational, and educational needs of Newtown.â
A total of 727 residents of Newtown signed these petitions circulated by the Friends of Fairfield Hills in support of the groupâs goals.
On behalf of the Friends of Fairfield Hills, I presented the original petitions to the Board of Selectman on March 3 as well as a copy to the Legislative Council on May 21.
What a disappointment to see that neither the selectmen nor the Legislative Council have paid attention to the 727 residents of Newtown.
