‘Dream Team’ Of Brazilian Guitarists Coming To Silvermine Guild

NEW CANAAN — Brazilian classical guitarist and Grammy nominee Paul Galbraith, who dazzled audiences at Silvermine Guild Arts Center last summer, will return this year as part of The Brazilian Guitar Quartet to launch the 42nd Summer Chamber Music season with a June 23 concert at 8 pm.

Known as “The Dream Team,” the quartet members — Mr Galbraith, the brothers Edelton and Everton Gloeden, and Tadeu do Amaral — are considered the most brilliant guitarists in Brazil today. The quartet has received great acclaim in its premier US tour, which began with an April debut at the 92nd Street Y.

For the Silvermine concert the quartet will play Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 and works by four Brazilian composers. Tickets are $20, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students 18 and under. Season’s subscriptions to four concerts are offered at a discount.
