Diversity Is Topic Of Women’s Forum

DANBURY — Barbara DeBaptiste, a national leader, educator, visionary, and chair of the CT Commission on the Status of Women, will present “Breaking Down Barriers to Diversity” at the next Women’s FORUM at Danbury Hilton & Towers. The event is part of the Women’s FORUM Dinner Series. It will take place on Tuesday, June 29.

Women are invited to join what is expected to be a lively discussion as Ms DeBaptiste examines the barriers that serve to segregate large segments of the female population and rob many of vast resources of talent and opportunity. A dynamic and engaging speaker with a powerful message, Ms DeBaptiste believes that committed people of imagination and goodwill can make a better life and world for everyone.

Doors open at 6 pm for networking followed by a complete dinner and the speaker. Several woman-owned businesses will participate in a pre-dinner boutique with proceeds to benefit the Quarter Century Campaign for the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury. Any woman interested in promoting her business should call for information.

The dinner forum is open to the public but advance reservations are required by June 16. For reservations, contact Women’s Publishing at 792-2070.

Women’s Publishing, Inc., is a Danbury-based, woman-owned business that has been providing opportunities for women since 1993. Upcoming events include a Women’s FORUM Retreat in September and the 6th Annual Women’s WORK Expo in October.

Danbury Hilton & Towers is on Old Ridgebury Road, immediately off I-84, exit 2 or Mill Plain Road.
