Assessor To Audit Businesses

The Newtown Assessor’s Office is undertaking an audit of certain personal property accounts. The assessor has retained the services of Real Estate Research Consultants, Inc. (RRC).

From June 6 through June 16, RRC will conduct interior inspections of select businesses, to list all taxable personal property. Most inspections are brief and will take approximately ten minutes. All employees of RRC will carry photo IDs and will be registered with the Newtown Police Department.
