Seasonal Glories The Focus Of New Pond Farm Art Show
Seasonal Glories The Focus
Of New Pond Farm Art Show
WEST REDDING â New Pond Farm, an award-winning educational center and working farm in West Redding, is showing the work of a number of regional artists, including Ruth Newquist and Marty Lamarche of Newtown, in âCelebrating the Seasons,â on display June 13-27, at the farmâs inviting new headquarters.
Many of the artists participated in New Pond Farmâs acclaimed show two years ago and have returned to the pastoral beauty of the farmâs 102-acre site. They have once more captured in all seasons the glories of New Pondâs rolling meadows, woods, wetlands and historic barns, home to gentle cattle and sheep.
Each participating artist, no matter the subject or scene, has found his or her own inspiration in the ever-changing aspects of nature.
All of the art is available for purchase, with part of the proceeds to benefit the important work of New Pond Farm in connecting people with the land.
Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm (Thursdays to 8 pm), and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Admission is free.
New Pond Farm is on Marchant Road, four-tenths of a mile from the junction of Route 53 and Umpawaug Road. For more information, visit NewPondFarm.org or call 23-938-2117.
