Dorothy Ingram Tani, age 87, of Sandy Hook, died Friday, May 29, at her home. She was a lifetime resident of Sandy Hook.
Mrs Tani was the wife of the late Peter Tani. She was born in Southbury, September 30, 1921, a daughter of the late George and Maude (Wheeler) Ingram.
She was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs Tani is survived by a daughter, Joyce A. Pettit and her husband, Ron of Danbury; a son, Paul F. Tani and his wife, Carol of Sandy Hook; a sister, Edith Boughton of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Debbie Pacensa and her husband, Al of New Milford, Paul E. Tani and his wife, Denise of Sandy Hook, Jim Tani of Sandy Hook, and Jennifer Martin and her husband, Chris of New Milford. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Anthony and Michael Pacensa, Michael and Nicholas Haggerty, and Ryan Tani; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Monday, June 1, at Newtown Village Cemetery. There were no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of oneâs choice.
