Red Baron Carpet 11, Hull Landscaping 11: For Red Baron, Jack Moulder and Kelland Chrystie contributed 2 RBIs each and River Low and Jake Lapp doubled. For Hull Landscaping, Peter Clifford hit a double and two singles.
ONEX 17, Mobile One Lube Express 9: Luke Reppucci and Dylan Tyrrell each reached base five times with Tyrrell crossing the plate four of those times to lead ONEX in victory. Spencer Johnson collected three hits, including a triple to help pace the offense. Defensively, Timmy LeBlanc pitched well over two innings, striking out four batters while Tucker Kistner closed out the game by pitching a solid sixth inning.
Huskies 6, Greg LaDestro 5: For the Huskies, Patrick Conte pitched 2 scoreless innings and had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Colin Patrick had 2 hits and got the save in relief, fanning the last 2 batters with the tying run on third. Tom Cotton had 2 hits and scored twice and Justin Oelberg was 2-for-2. For LaDestro Legal Services, Jamie Cochrane fanned 6 in two scoreless innings, Joey Accousti was 3-for-3, Shawn Ferris was 2-for-2, including a triple, and Matthew Stewart was 2-for-3. Joe Accousti had three hits for Greg LaDestro.
Mobil One Lube Express 11, Huskies 6: Gavin Stubbs, Justin Dunn, and Sam Duffy had 2 hits each and Ryan Norton was 1-for-2 with 2 runs scored to lead Mobil One in the first game of a doubleheader. Patrick Conte hit a two-run homer, Shawn Fulton was 2-for-2 and Colin Patrick was 2-for-3 for the Huskies.
Huskies 5, Mobil One Lube Express 0: Colin Patrick, Michael Capaldo and Michael Liberante combined on the two-hit shutout and Charles Soto and Ben Reilly had key RBI singles to lead the Huskies in the second game of a doubleheader. For Mobil One, Erik Benson was 1-for-2.
Attorney Greg LaDestro 16, Onex 13: Lucas LaDestro, Jamie Cochrane and Joe Accousti each had three hits while Sean Ferris knocked in four runs. Austin LeBlanc pitched three solid innings for the win. Andres Hubina led the ONEX offense with three hits, including a triple. Other key contributors to the offense were Spencer Johnson hitting a triple, and Matt Campbell, Dylan Tyrrell and Mitchell Savoca each collecting multiple hits including a double. Defensively, Tyrrell stuck out five batters over two innings while Johnson struck out six over three innings of work.
Onex 14, Attorney Greg LaDestro 7: In the nightcap game of the double header, the ONEX offense scored nine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to pull away for good. Mitchell Savoca went 4-for-4, scoring three times, while Dylan Tyrrell and Andrew Hubina each collected three hits to help pace the offense. Defensively, Tucker Kistner, Jack Riley and Zach Laros made nice plays in the field while Savoca pitched three innings, striking out five batters, and made three put-outs while pitching. Owen Samson had an inside the park home run and a triple to lead Attorney Greg LaDestro. John Cagganello also contributed with three hits of his own.

Newtown Raven 15 Southbury 0: Ravens pitchers Kyle Wilcox, Parker Lintz, Michael Koch, Connor Blanc and Ben Stoller threw a one-hitter and struck out six batters to stifle a Southbury summer travel team Sunday night at Newtown Middle School Field. It was the teamâs sixth straight win and improved the Ravensâ record to 11-4. Control artist Lintz yielded the only hit, a single, but pitched brilliantly, as he has done all season. Lintz, who lowered his earned-run average to a team-leading 2.97, repeatedly threw a fastball, change-up and splitter, low and on the outside corner. Slugger Kyle Wilcox hit two triples and knocked in six runs. Leadoff batter Cole Baldino set the table as he has done all season, scoring four runs after reaching base on two walks and two hit-by-pitches. Baldino boosted his on-base percentage to .554. Michael Koch drew four walks and scored three runs. Blanc and Nicky Sajovic drilled RBI singles, as Sajovic maintained a .400 batting average. Stoller, who leads the team with a .462 average and a.576 on-base percentage, also ripped a single. The nightâs defensive gems were made by Sajovic and Koch. Shortstop Sajovic gloved a hard-hit line drive and quickly flipped to second-baseman Stoller for a double play in the first inning. Koch made a nice catch off the mound to start another double play.
Newtown Ravens 12 Ridgefield Team Eight 4: The Ravens exploded for six first-inning runs and waltzed to victory Saturday at Newtown Middle School Field. Cole Baldino singled, stole second, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on Michael Kochâs RBI grounder that was booted by the shortstop. Kyle Wilcox singled Koch to third, and Stefan Hennessey walked to load the bases. Ben Stoller smacked a two-RBI single to left-center. Parker Lintz drove in his team-leading 12th run with an infield grounder, and James Rebman lined an RBI single to left field. Koch finished the game with two singles and two runs scored. Hennessey ripped a second-inning double. Lintz pitched three innings without giving up an earned run and walking just one batter. Stoller threw a shutout sixth inning without yielding a hit. The Ravens pulled off a rare 7-4-3 double play in the third inning with a runner on first base and no outs. Left fielder Nicky Sajovic raced in to pick up an apparent bloop single and quickly threw to second baseman Rebman for a force out. Rebman made a turn and threw a strike to first baseman Ian Kirner to complete the double play.
Newtown Ravens 12 Aspetuck 2: Five Ravens pitchers â Parker Lintz, Kyle Wilcox, Connor Blanc, Nicky Sajovic and John Hampford â combined on a three-hitter as the local club cruised to a victory under the lights at Fairfield Hills Field last Friday. The Ravens jumped out to a 3-0 first-inning lead. Cole Baldino ripped a single down the left-field line and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Stefan Hennessey. Blanc crushed a scorching RBI triple over the left-fielderâs head and was driven home on a line-drive single to left field by Ben Stoller. In the second-inning, Sajovic and Hampford singled, and Sajovic scored on an error. Baldino cracked an RBI single to score a run. Hampford doubled and scored in the fifth inning, and Stoller also had two hits, driving in Blanc with a base hit in the sixth inning. Sajovic struck out all three batters looking in the sixth inning, and Blanc threw two shutout innings without yielding a hit. First baseman Stoller had the gameâs defensive gem with a backhand stab of a hard-hit grounder in the hole to take away a hit from Aspetuckâs leadoff batter in the first inning.
