F. David Minor
F. David Minor, 50, of Sandy Hook, died at home on June 3. He was the husband of Cynthia (Nazareth) Minor.
Mr Minor was born in Richmond, Va., on May 19, 1951, a son of Jewell and Mamie Lee Minor Smith of Washington, D.C. He graduated from St Leo College in St Leo, Fla., with a BS in business, and was currently a student at Seminary of the East in New York City. He served in the Air Force Reserves for 21 years, worked for General Electric for 17 years and then AT&T until his illness. He was a pastoral intern at the Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel and was also a member of the NAACP.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by three daughters, Sarah N. Minor, Stephanie L. Minor and Andrea L. Minor, all of Sandy Hook; a brother, Jewell Smith, Jr; and two sisters, Vera Hamilton and Nola Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minor Family Childrenâs Fund, c/o Cynthia Minor, 4 Crows Nest Lane, Sandy Hook, CT 06482.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Walnut Hill Community Church, Bethel, on June 11, at 7 pm. There are no calling hours.
Hull Funeral Service, 60 Division Street, Danbury, is handling arrangements.
