Acrylics In A Watercolor Style
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown, Inc will present a landscape presentation in water media by Bob Noreika of Ricky Hill during its next meeting, which will be Wednesday, June 13, beginning at 7:30 pm. The group will be in the lower meeting room of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown.
Non-members are welcome, free of charge.
Bob Noreika is a prominent watercolor artist and illustrator whose paintings hang in both corporate and private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. During his program for SCAN, Mr Noreika will be using acrylics in a watercolor style.
Mr Noreikaâs passion for art is matched by a natural talent to paint a wide variety of subjects, from expressive coastal scenes and countryside pictorials to intimate woodland views. He was featured in the April 1998 issue of Artistâs Magazine in an article concerning his technical expertise.
A graduate of Paier College of Art in Hamden, Mr Noreika currently has a studio and gallery at Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, where he also teacher.
Mr Noreika is a member of Connecticut Watercolor Society and The Salmagundi Club in New York City. He is represented in numerous galleries, and teaches and lectures throughout New England. A board of directors meeting that will begin at 6:30 will precede the June 13 public meeting.
The next afternoon meeting of SCAN will be on Wednesday, June 27, beginning at 1:30 pm. Jeff Webb will present a program on creating a landscape using pastels.
