Beloved Wife And Mother

Margaret A. “Peggy” Spiro, 67, beloved wife of Christopher J. Spiro of Newtown, died unexpectedly, May 28. She was born in Jersey City, N.J., on June 25, 1942, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Clarkan) and Thomas Neary.

Mrs Spiro had been a resident of Newtown since 1966, and was supervisor of medical records at Fairfield Hills Hospital for many years. She had a love for children and was longtime child care provider to the Newtown community.

Mrs Spiro was a Communicant of St Rose of Lima Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Thomas Spiro of Newtown, Kevin and Timothy Spiro, both of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Susan Spiro of Largo, Fla., and Cathleen Spiro of Bethel; three sisters, Susan Neary, Maryellen Ryan, and Elizabeth O’Rourke; a niece; and two nephews.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, June 3.
