Sheehan

Loving Wife And Mother, Friend To All

Catherine “Kaye” (Fekete) Sheehan, 81, died suddenly, June 1, at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was born April 25, 1929, the daughter of Susan and Michael Fekete, in Nu Mine, Penn., her home until her family moved to Fairfield, Conn.

On June 25, 1955, she married the love of her life, Gerard “Art” Sheehan, and they built their home in Monroe, where they have lived since 1958.

She is survived by her loving husband; and children Deborah Reilly, and her husband, Timothy, of Newtown and Tom Sheehan, and his wife, Lynn, of Bethel. She was always surrounded by them, and her four grandchildren. They were all the pride of her life, as was her great-granddaughter. She was one of ten children and is also survived by four siblings.

Mrs Sheehan truly loved life and the pleasure of being part of so large a family. The Sheehans’ circle of close friends was always a source of support and comfort for many years, and gave her life a special zest and excitement.

The family is very grateful to all her medical support givers and especially to the triage staff that attended her upon admittance to St Vincent’s Medical Center.

A Funeral Mass will take place Monday, June 7, at St Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, at 10 am. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 pm, Sunday, June 6, at the Spadaccino Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mrs Sheehan’s name to the St Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport CT 06606.
