Anthony Caschetto

Anthony Caschetto, 78, of Ansonia, a retired foreman for the City of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation Department, died May 28 at Griffin Hospital, Derby.

Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Michael and Giovanna Caschetto, and was a lifelong city resident before moving to Ansonia 12 years ago. Mr Caschetto was a US Army veteran of World War II, and was a founding member and former coach of the East End Little League in Bridgeport.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Frances Tickey Caschetto; two sons, David Caschetto and Beth Bullard of Newtown, and Peter Caschetto and his wife, Fran, of Naugatuck; two brothers, John Caschetto and his wife Sadie, and Pete Caschetto and his wife Virginia, all of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Kasey Lynn, Matthew, and Danielle; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held June 2 in Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia.

Entombment followed in St Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford.
