The Ramifications Of Griswold v CT

DANBURY — The WestConn School of Arts and Sciences will present “Forty Years and A Day: Contraception, Privacy and Estelle Griswold” at 6 pm on Monday, June 6.

The program will be in WCSU’s Warner Hall, on Fifth Avenue (just off White Street; use the public parking garage on White Street). Admission is free.

Jennifer Ball, an adjunct professor of history, will discuss the ramifications of the 1965 Supreme Court case Griswold v State of Connecticut, which legalized contraception in the state. Saxophonist George Beratis will perform before the talk.

A question-and-answer period will follow the discussion.

The program is being offered as part of a continuing “Summer Nights” series.
