A Great Success
To the Editor:
On behalf of the entire Post-Prom Committee and its many volunteers, thank you to the entire community â businesses, families, individuals, organizations, school administrators and staff, Newtown Building and Grounds, custodial staff, police and government agencies â for your overwhelming support to make the 2006 Newtown High School Mardi Gras Post Prom such a huge success.
Our aim was to provide a fun and safe environment for our students following the prom. We believe we achieved that goal. We had over 150 students and their guests (nearly triple last yearâs number) in attendance.
From the many comments from the students (WOW, this is our school!) to the music, activities, food and great raffle prizes, all had a great time.
We have already met for a recap and are well on our way to making the 2007 Post Prom even bigger and better. Please continue to support this worthwhile event.
