Meanwhile, Sean Ross belted a pair of grand slam home runs to lead Emmett & Glander to a 19-8 win over Newtown Savings Bank in U12 division action.

Sallyport Holdings 3, Newtown Savings Bank 1 â Pitchers Ryan Dunnigan, David Lucia, Dom Fedak and Colin Morris allowed four hits through six innings to wrap up the win for the Jankeesâ third straight victory. Omari Miles and Dakotah Christiano had key hit in the game. The Money played the Jankees close with good pitching, but were only able to scratch out one run.
Stony Brook 8, Enterprise Electric 2 â Austin Bonadio singled, doubled and scored two runs for Enterprise in the loss. Erik Samuelson had another solid game behind the plate and Greg Williamson made a number of strong plays in the field. Anthony Maki had a fine pitching effort.
Union Savings 7, Enterprise Electric 6 â Curtis Droniak homered and Ryan OâKeefe had a clutch hit triple as Union Savings earned the win. Michael Greenwood and Ryan Powers pitched well. For the Money, Jake Tolson had a great all around game while pitching well, collecting two hits and scoring a run. Ryan Cassidy and Ryan Kleinert chipped in with a hit a piece and Andrew Fischer played a good game in the field.
Newtown Savings Bank 3, Stony Brook 2 â Ryan Truchsess had two hits and an RBI to lead Stony Brook in the loss. Brandon Ziman made an outstanding defensive play at second base.
Enterprise Electric 6, Sallyport Holdings 2 â Greg Frattaroli went 3-for-3 and Sean Burson added two hits as the Shock topped Sallyport. Kevin Morrissey made a number of sparkling plays in the field. For the Jankees, Matt Pruner, Matt Wielebinski and Clark Giles played well as David Lucia and Cullin Merrifield led the offense.
Emmett & Glander 19, Newtown Savings Bank 8 â Sean Ross smashed a pair of grand slams and Timmy Wilder pitching two shut out innings to lead Emmett & Glander to the win. Sean Fahey delivered two clutch hits. Kyle Watts, Christian Sayegh and Joel Fox played well in the loss for the Money.

Lee J. Demers, Builder 19, PC Metals 4 â Led by Chad Magoulas, the Explosives exploded for 16 runs in the first two innings. Magoulas smacked four doubles, knocked in four runs and pitched a perfect inning. Ben Stoller cracked a triple and a double, knocking in two runs as Dean Demers and Kyle Wilcox each rapped two hits, including a double, and Demers drove in a pair of runs. For PC Metals, Jeff Grasso blasted the first over-the-fence home run of his career, a three-run shot to left field in the third inning. Gary Braun struck out two batters while pitching a shutout inning.
BASE Technologies 6, PC Metals 4 â Joe Davis had two hits, including a double and two RBIs, to lead BASEâs offense. David Gerics also had two hits, as he, Mike Koch and Austin Ekstrom doubled. Gerics, Ekstrom and Pat Sullivan combined for a solid pitching effort.

Ferris Acres Creamery 4, Attorney Andrew Buzzi, Jr 3 â Casey Fuller and Dean Lindquist hit well for the Creamery, while Sean Sonntag and Thomas Floros played great defensively. For Attorney Buzzi, Drew Tarantino pitched well and Anthony Pagett and Harrison Buzzi were strong on defense.
Scalzo Gleason 3, Dr Henry Gellert 3 â Owen Gaston had a clutch two-run single in the fifth inning as Scalzo Gleason earned the tie. Brandon Marks struck out five for the Cobras and KC Condon added two strikeouts in the seventh. John Meyers also had an outstanding game behind the plate. For Dr Gellert, Cassie Ekstrom and Cooper Gold pitched well as JP Kitzmiller banged a clutch double in the fourth. Logan Puleri had a strong game behind the dish.
OCON Pest Control 12, Ferris Acres Creamery 9 â Matt McGoldrick smacked two hits and drove in four runs while Matt Baldino banged out clutch, go-ahead RBI to lead OCON. Matt Hoyt pitched two solid innings to close out the win.
Attorney Andrew Buzzi 9, Robert S. Ponsky 2 â Eric Pisani, Garrison Buzzanca, and Ryan Pisani supplied the offense for Attorney Buzzi. Brock Chimileski, Jimmy Gilbert, and Ty Runkle anchored the D.
Ponsky Family Dentistry 7, Onex 4 â Matt Sabia and Scott Kelly paced the Ponsky offense in a win over Onex. Max Hayes pitched well and Tim Barrett had a strong game at second. For Onex, Chris Stanton and Bubba Leblanc had good days on the mount while Greg Horne hit a long double and Danny Cummings made two nice plays at third.

Equale & Cirone 11, AERCO International 8 â Virgil Procacinni, Wiley Zahansky and Nick Cagganello led the E&C offense while Angel Santos, Michael Stierle and Cooper Mclean led the defense. For AERCO, Nick Lotrecchiano, Troy Frangione and Ryan Whitton all had a good day at the plate.
Fairfield County Irrigation Systems versus AERCO International â Bubba Condon and Will Dalton pitched well for AERCO and CJ Landgrebe had a good defensive effort in the loss to FCIS.
Equale & Cirone 15, Dental Associates 3 â Greg Ladestro, Michael Stierle and Anthony Sodoski played well on offense for E&C while Cooper Mclean, Mitchel Gigasky and Patrick Towley led the defense. Eric Street pitched well in his season debut while also contributing two hits for Dental. Matt Argraves had the defensive play of the game with a running basket catch in the outfield on a deep fly ball.
Mount Pleasant Hospital For Animals 10, Dental Associates 5 â Jeremy Fellin pitched two solid innings and had a good day at the plate scoring two runs for Dental Associates while Charlie Huegi and Connor Roche carried the offense with two hits apiece.
BW Retail Real Estate Group 10, Mount Pleasant Hospital For Animals 5 â The BW Red Devils scored 10 runs on 14 hits led by Nick Roche and Jimmy Widman. In the field, Knute Johnson and Chase Wurtz were outstanding while on the mound, Nathan Cooper iced the game with a two strikeout shutout inning. Clayton Gattey and Joseph Calbo pitched two outstanding innings in their pitching debut for Mount Pleasant. Austin Leusu had a big day at the plate hitting a solid single and scoring a run. Michael Biancardi and Jordan Headford had clutch singles.
Associated Refuse 14, Fairfield County Irrigation Systems 11 â John Bashak played great defense in right field and at second base to lead Associated. Christian Klein crushed a double while Colton Smith added four hits and Jack Corbett contributed four RBIs.
Mobil 1 Lube Express 10, BW Retail Real Estate Group 9 â Max Rucinski and Adam Israel held off BW Retailâs offensive attack while Jack Lago, Sawyer Conrad and Julian Dunn provided the offensive fireworks. For BW Retail, both Hayden Savoia and Chris Hartley gave a strong defensive effort while CJ Dunn led the offense with three hits and Jimmy Widman had two RBI.
Dental Associates 14, Mobil 1 Lube Express 5 â Ricky LaPak had an excellent game on the mound in his first appearance of the spring, striking out two batters and not allowing a hit to lead Dental Associates to the win. Connor Miller, Connor Roche and Nathaniel Dowd were the hitting stars in the win. Shane Quimby, Travis Audet and Jacob Burden all played well for Mobil 1 in an effort that fell short.
Mobil 1 Lube Express 8, Coldwell Banker 2 â Julian Dunn, Sawyer Conrad and Jack Lago pounded the ball at the plate for the Express while Adam Israelâs pitching and the strong defensive play of Max Rucinski and Shane Quimby insured the win for Mobil 1.
BW Retail Real Estate Group 17, Taunton Press 3 â BW Retail exploded on offense for the first time in weeks while the fans saw shut out pitching from both Nick Roche and Jon Rospenda, who combined for nine strikeouts. Harry Duffy made a âhighlight reelâ catch in left field while, at bat, Jordan Salvesen and Markus Elken each went 3-for-3 while driving in four RBI and scoring three runs apiece.
AERCO International 15, Taunton Press 11 â Matt Hess pitched well to lead AERCO to the victory. Brianna Baranowski, Nick Strokis and a two-run homer from Eric Cascone powered AERCOâs offensive attack.

Carminuccioâs 8, Turner Construction 7 â Nicholas Nelson led the way with collected hits, including a triple, to lead Carminuccioâs. Brendan Crowe, Curtis Giles and Andrew Svanda all had two hits to lead a balanced attack. Michael Parker and Declan Sullivan pitched well. For Turner, Glenn daMota had a single, double, triple and two runs scored. Joey Carrino had three hits, three RBI, and made a brilliant play at first base as Ryan King contributed with two hits, including a hard hit double, and two runs scored.
Carminuccioâs 7, Stormtroopers 2 â Jared Brady, Michael Doyle and Albert Dean combined to pitch a terrific game and lead Carminuccioâs to the win. Nicholas Nelson singled and doubled while Chris Brown and Holden Turk chipped in with two singles apiece.
Richâs Keys & Locks 5, Turner Construction 2 â Conner Flint showed great control in his pitching debut for Turner while Julia Monaco drove in a run and played strong defense from the catching position.
HOCON Gas 3, Turner Construction 2 â Ryan Conway laced a clutch single to drive in both Turner runs in a loss to HOCON. James Frazzetta kept Turner in the game by pitching a scoreless fourth inning.
Dina* versus The Newtown Bee â Griffin Davis belted his fourth home run of the season while Sydney Dimartino and Stephen Brittin banged out keys hits to lead Dina. For The Bee, Jaret DeVellis and Nicolas Samuelson each doubled while Russell Jacobs and Devin Luzietti pitched well.
Dina* 8, Fireside Inn 8 â Griffen Davis tripled and homered while Andrew Cragin and Matthew Elias doubled as Dina rallied back from a 6-2 win. Kate Laaksonen and Chance McManus also provided late key hits. For Fireside, Michael OâKeefe (3-for-3), Alex Gerbo (3-for-3).
