To the Editor:

Your editorial to “dial it down” on the Board of Education vote to ban books from Newtown High School completely misses the mark. You run a newspaper, and the vote of three board members was an assault on the first amendment. Their act was uncivil, and you would do well to be an ardent defender of the first amendment.
