NHS Unified Theater To Perform 'Our Place In The World,' June 4-5

Newtown High School's Unified Theater program will perform its original show "Our Place in the World," June 4 and 5.

Performances will be on 6 pmSaturday at and Sunday at  in the cafetorium of the high school, 12 Berkshire Road.2 pm

In lieu of a ticket price, attendees are asked to donate at the door to the Unified Theater program.

Unified Theater is in its second year at NHS, but in its inaugural year as a curricular class. Unified Theater's mission is to foster meaningful inclusion and develop student leaders through the arts.

In Unified Theater, students with and without disabilities, of all backgrounds, come together as equals to put on a production entirely organized, written, and directed by the students themselves.

The course provides a basic knowledge of acting, technical production, play­writing, directing and producing a show.

Students involved include in this year's production are Jaime Beaurline, Stef Carr, Shannon Cheh, Rebecca Didomizio, Robby Gray, Harrison Hoffert, Michael Leary, Jackie Magoon, Sydney Marino, Dani Mola, Jack Premus, Timmy Rogers, Madi Rose, Julia Shuman, Sophia Spraggins, Nicolas Stowell, Ben Suckow, Jessica Viesto, Erin Walsh, and Jordan Williams.
