Roast Pork Dinner In Bethel
BETHEL â The First Congregational Church of Bethel announces that its annual roast pork dinner will be held on Saturday, June 10, from 6 to 7:30 pm, in the churchâs main hall, at 46 Main Street.
The dinner menu will include roast pork, browned potatoes, vegetables, rolls, and homemade pies for dessert. Cost of the dinner is $15 for adults, and free for children under five.
Immediately following the dinner at 8 pm, there will be a concert in the church sanctuary by Joseph Jacovino at the organ. In addition, the Sanctuary Choir will sing several selections accompanied by Mr Jacovino. The concert is free of charge.
Mr Jocovino, a native of Waterbury, received a bachelor of music degree from Hartt College of Music and a masterâs in education from Manhattan School of Music. He has been the director of music for the past 21 years at Holy Cross High School in Waterbury and he has been organist/cantor at St Lucyâs R.C. Church for the past 30 years.
He is currently the accompanist for Connecticut Choral Society and a member of Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. Mr Jocovino has been a piano soloist with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, Naugatuck Valley College Orchestra, and the New Britain Symphony.
