Middle Gate’s Spring Fair Shines

To the Editor,

Yes, Mother Nature could not give us a warm sunny day, but that did not stop Middle Gate from having a spectacular fair. Exciting games, arts and crafts, marvelous face painting, terrific food, and yummy treats were among the various things the children enjoyed on Saturday, May 20.

This wonderful family day was sponsored by Middle Gate’s PTA and would not have happened without the many hard-working volunteers. Approximately 140 people helped, ranging form Middle Gate students, parents, and teachers as well as our Lead Teacher Calla Sellner and our Principal Judy Gallo. Thank you all. You really made the day a great success!

Middle Gate was also fortunate to receive some help from some magnificent young people. Members of Girl Scout troops 382, 143, and 113 were on hand to help out with various games and crafts. These are dedicated girls and we really appreciate their generosity. We also had volunteers join us from the Middle School and the High School. They too did a wonderful job and made our day so much more enjoyable. Thank you for giving us your time.

In addition, the Botsford Fire Department and the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance visited our school fair. Thanks for participating once again and hanging in there in spite of the chilly rain.

Finally, I would like to thank Cycle Fitness, Gallagher Landscaping, Toy Corner, Newtown Savings, Pepperidge Farms, Doughnut Hut, Skate Tyme, Dr Mikes, Curtis Packaging, and the following families: Saxonmeyer, Hennessey, George, Risko, Dugger, Babyak, Federman, Engler, Ciamarra, Benson, Dowd, and Wielebinski for all their generous donations to our fair.

It’s a pleasure to give the kids at Middle Gate a day to just have fun and celebrate. Their bright smiling faces let us know that we did our job well. Thanks again to all of you who attended and participated in our spring fair.

Sincerely yours,

Shari Lockhart & Dina Sabia
