Memorial Day Scramble

 

The foursome of Chip Mason, Al Torre, Jack Nickerson and Phil Cantore carded a 58 to claim first place honors (and $60 each) at the Newtown Country Club’s Memorial Day Scramble on Monday. Other top finishers:

60 – Earl Hanford, Paul Melvin, Andy Salnitis, and Eileen Delaney ($45 each); 61 – Randy Watkins, Joan Gebert, Nancy Cimmino and Chet Chamberland ($35 each); 63 – Lionel Brown, Walt Gebert, Bruce Reynolds and Jim Robbins ($25 each); 64 – Joe Humeston, Mark Wiston, Sue Paulin and Joe Mesinger ($20 each).

Hole In One

 

Charlie Walsh of Brookfield aced the 155-yard, par-3 sixth hole at the Newtown Country Club on Saturday, May 27. In his foursome were Ed Sidlowsku, Mike Lavelle and Tim Ignatius.
