Harold Armand "Monty" Monsanto, 75, of Kansas, died May 26. He was born April 15, 1943, in Bridgeport, and was a son of Arlton and Jean Monsanto.

Mr Monsanto was a former resident of Newtown and graduated from Newtown High School in 1961. He was an Air Force veteran.

His wife, Carol, of Belleville, Kan.; his children and their spouses, Cheryl and David Rutz of Salina, Kan., Sarah and Ben Noble of Topeka, Kan., Laura and Justin Thomas of Olathe, Kan., and Gary Monsanto of Salina, Kan.; six grandchildren; and siblings, Valerie Taft of Hartford, Art Monsanto and wife Stephanie of Southbury, and Jim Elkins and wife Martha of Marion, N.C., survive him.

His daughter, Charlene Monsanto, predeceased him.

Family will be greeting family and friends Thursday, May 31, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville, Kan., from 6 to 8 pm.

A funeral service will take place Friday, June 1, at the United Methodist Church in Belleville, Kan., at 10:30 am.
