During Hawley Elementary School’s annual art show, held this year on Wednesday, May 14, works created by kindergarten through fourth grade students went on display and the school was opened for visiting students and family members.

“We made those!” one student said.

Down one hallway another student pointed and exclaimed, “There’s mine!”

From creations by kindergarteners showing lions in cool and warm tones to “Cone Characters” made out of papier mache by third graders, artwork lined the walls at the school and filled the school’s library/media center.

“This is such a great night,” said Hawley art teacher Vicki Sheskin, who is set to retire at the end of this school year. Ms Sheskin added she feels lucky and could not believe this year’s art show was her last one at the school.

More photos from the annual art show are available in this week’s photo gallery here.

Clay cats and dogs, created by second grade students at Hawley School, were on display during the school’s annual art show.
