National Trails Day: Go Take A Hike

DERBY — To commemorate National Trails Day, the Kellogg Environmental Center and Osborne Homestead Museum will offer a guided hike through Osbornedale State Park on Saturday, June 7.

The hike will focus upon the history of the forested landscape, examining how people have used Connecticut forests over the past several centuries.

The moderate hike will begin at Kellogg Environmental Center at 9:30 am and end at 11. The cost is $3 per person, and registration is necessary. Call 734-2513.

The Osborne Homestead Museum and Kellogg Environmental Center, operated by DEP’s Office of Communications and Education, are at 500 Hawthorne Avenue, off Route 34.
