Mr and Mrs James Robert Shortt

Susannah M. Killing, daughter of Caryl Stratton of Woodbury and the late Gerald Killing, was married November 2, 2002, to James Robert Shortt of Southbury. Mr Shortt is the son of James Shortt of Sandy Hook and the late Laura Shortt.

The wedding and reception were held at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Jody Tuttle of Oxford.

The bride was attended by her sisters, Sarah Killing of Boston, Mass., and Bridget Tuttle of Oxford, Conn., a cousin, Jenn Plante of New York City, and her niece, Shannon Tuttle of Oxford, Conn.

Mr Shortt was attended by his brothers, Terry Shortt of Florida, and Jeff and Rick Shortt of Brookfield.

Mrs Shortt graduated from Newtown High School, Fisher College in Boston, Mass., and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Mr Shortt was born and raised in Sandy Hook and graduated from Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury.

The couple own and operate Shortt’s Farm and Garden Center on Riverside Road in Sandy Hook. Mr Shortt also operates Shortt’s Construction Company of Sandy Hook.

After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple is living in Southbury.
