Huge Townwide Tag Sale — The Newtown Skate Park Association, NHS Peer Leadership Team, and Newtown Youth Services will be holding a fundraiser at NHS on Saturday, June 7, from 8 am to 6 pm. Skateboard tournaments, music festival, concessions, mini carnival, and battle of the bands are some of the events to take place.

Tag Sale items may be dropped off at the NHS Gym between 3 and 8 pm on Friday, May 30.

Parent Programs

“Managing Stress in Parents of Preschoolers” — Facilitated by Judy Gibney, RN. This program will take place on Thursday, June 5, at 9:30 am, in the Parents’ Corner.

Ongoing Groups

Moms of Multiples –– Will meet on Thursday, June 5, at NYS.

Working Moms –– Meets the first Saturday of the month at 10 am. Next group is June 7.

Youth Programs

Newtown Youth Services Summer Adventure Camp — For fifth to eighth grade, Tuesday and Thursday, July 8 to August 14, 9 am to 3 pm. Spaces are filling up quickly. Costs vary. Don’t miss this opportunity for summer fun.

4-H –– Greenhouse at Fairfield Hills — Grades 1–4 meet on Tuesdays, from 3:30 to 5 pm. Grades 5–8 meets Saturdays, 10 am to noon. Call 270-4335 to sign up.

SibShops –– Has concluded for this school year.

 

Children of Divorce –– Grades 2–5, Mondays from 6 to 7 pm, will be held at NYS. The next group will meet on Monday, June 2. This group will conclude on June 9.

HSYAB (High School Community Service Group) –– Has finished its meeting schedule for the school year.

MSYAB (Middle School Community Service Group) –– Has concluded its formal meetings for the school year.

NYCAAP (AIDS Awareness Group) –– Meets every Wednesday from 5:45 to 6:45 pm.

AIDSWEAR –– Meets every Monday from 5:15 to 6:15 pm.
