Geraldine A. Rank

Geraldine A. (Denny) Rank, 81, of First Street Extension, Danbury, wife of the late LeRoy “Mike” Rank, died at Danbury Hospital on May 22.

Geraldine was born in Danbury July 17, 1921, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Hillard) Denny. She graduated from Danbury High School and had lived in Danbury and Newtown.

She worked for many years as a payroll clerk for the Kimberly-Clark Company of New Milford prior to retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Marlene Caprilozzi and Dianne Ganio of Danbury; son, Gerald Dunlap of Port Orange, Fla.; and sisters, Gloria Phelps of Danbury and Lorraine French of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Alyce, Doris, and Eva.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury, on May 27. Burial was in Wooster Cemetery.

Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
