McCHORD ENGINEERING 9, COUNTRY AIR 6: Emily Blewitt, Laura Hennessey and Sarah DeVellis had sparkling games for McChord while Lauren Gully and Sally Lombardo paced Country Air.

McCHORD ENGINEERING 17, ADVANTAGE LOAN 11: Laura Hennessey and Christie Caruso led the offense, along with Ashley Jones and Emily Blewitt, to lead McChord to the win. Megan O’Day led Advantage with four hits.

JUNIORS

 

EXECUTIVE LANDSCAPING 23, NASE 10: Valerie Nezvesky was 6-for-6 with five singles, a double, six runs scored, and four RBI to power Executive Landscaping to a big win. She was also strong in relief (three strikeouts in three innings) of starting pitcher Alison Legros, who helped herself by going 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and four RBI. Katie Datin and Lauren Imperioli had four hits apiece while Alison Steinfeld (a hit, three RBI, three runs scored) and Jenn Agius (single, two RBI) also led the offense. For NASE, Stephanie Manning had three hits, including a two-run homer, while Mary Cozens, Kelly Murphy and Sara Greenfield had two hits apiece. Holly O’Day chipped in with two RBI and Allison Graham pitched well.

EXECUTIVE LANDSCAPING 22, POOTATUCK SPIRITS 10: Valerie Nezvesky was 5-for-5 with three doubles and an amazing 10 RBI to lead Executive to another win. Alison Legros was also 5-for-5, with four singles, a double, five runs scored, and five RBI. Danielle LaFrancesca chipped in with a pair of hits, one RBI and two stolen bases. For Pootatuck, Amanda Chontos tripled with the bases loaded to power the offense, Megan Groves had two hits, Rachel Nicolosi was strong on defense and on the mound, and Kimberly Solheim – in addition to gunning down a would-be stealer – was 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and three RBI.

THE QUIET COMPANY 21, POOTATUCK SPIRITS 11: Amanda Lindblom tagged out two runners at home plate for a double play, helping lead the Quiet Company to a win. The play started with a nice repaly from Abby Atkinson in centerfield to Kate Kokowski. Meredith Palo led the offense by going 4-for-4 and scoring four runs. For Pootatuck, Danielle Nicolosi, Kelsey Cantore, Amanda Krause and Kerrie Canavan all played well.

BUS #22 11, KENDRO LAB PRODUCTS 11: Melissa Paytner went 3-for-5 while Ashley Gabor pitched well (six strikeouts in three innings) and collected two hits to lead Bus #22 to the win. Ashley Christiano was strong in the field. For Kendro, Christina Ercole had a pair of hits and four solid innings of pitching. Jennifer Iassogna also pitched well in three innings while Jessica Shepard, Tricia Reed and Katie Crevier played well.
