Business background: Store owner Erik Padilla said he decided to wait a full year to celebrate the grand opening of the latest Foundation RX location to ensure the store, products, and consultations he offers to customers would be well-received by the community. Mr Padilla said he was always interested in physical fitness and took a job several years ago working part-time at Doc’s Nutrition, which has since re-branded as Foundation RX, in his home town of Carmel, N.Y. After learning the business, he was offered the opportunity to open the latest of eight stores in Brookfield.

Business focus: Foundation RX offers products including vitamins, supplements, sport supplements, minerals, paleo/plant-based protein products and other health needs, including a new line of CBD-infused edibles and pain relief balm. Mr Padilla said products like protein powder supplements are very popular with younger customers who are interested in maintaining or increasing their muscle mass for sports or general fitness. He offers Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) that combine three essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine, which will also promote muscle mass and could aid in weight loss and energy retention after exercise.

Important to know: Foundation RX offers a wide range of company-branded apparel, vitamins, supplements that promote gut health, and fully prepared and well-balanced heat and eat meals that cost less than $10 per serving. All of Mr Padilla’s product lines can be pre-ordered or purchased from on site inventory, and he will generally meet or beat any online price as long as the customer brings in a copy of the internet offer.

Near future promotions: Foundation RX of Brookfield is celebrating its Grand Opening and one-year anniversary June 1 with a block-style party in the shop and adjacent parking lot featuring live music and painting demonstrations along with giveaways and expert advice from product reps. He will also be offering free vitamin shakes and other refreshments from 1 am to 4 pm that day. For walk-in customers, he offers ten percent off any purchase of $50 or more.
