NHS Girls’ Tennis Team Falls In SWC Semifinals

Newtown High School’s girls’ tennis team fell to Joel Barlow of Redding 5-2 in the South West Conference Tournament’s semifinals on May 20.

Newtown got wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles in the setback. The top tandem of Ashley Cech and Megan Loose defeated Sam Goldburg and Sarah McLain and the No. 3 team of Stephanie Roman and Sara Benson knocked off Sarah Harris and Payton Green.
