Garden Conservancy Slates Open Days

Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2010, The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program offers thousands of people across the country hundreds of opportunities to learn and exchange gardening ideas, or to simply explore and enjoy magnificent gardens and spaces not normally open to the public. This year, more than 360 private gardens in 21 states offer enthusiasts the chance to explore first-hand examples of outstanding design and horticulture.

The next local Open Days event is scheduled for Sunday, June 6. Between 10 am and 4 pm, the public will be allowed into five private gardens. The event will run rain or shine, and reservations are not required.

Admission is $5 per garden, with children ages 12 and under admitted free of charge. Additional information, including directions to each garden an the full 2010 season schedule, is available at OpenDaysProgram.org or by calling The Garden Conservancy, toll-free, weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm, at 888-842-2442.
