UConn Offers Summer Session
STORRS â The University of Connecticutâs College of Continuing Studies is now offering summer session courses.
UConn offers flexible three- and six-week sessions scheduled throughout the summer. Students can choose from undergraduate credit courses in more than 100 different subjects. There are more than 800 sections offered across the Connecticut, including evening courses at several campuses and fully online courses offered during the six-week summer sessions.
There are two six-week sessions at all six campuses: Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, Storrs, Torrington, and Waterbury. There are also two three-week intensive sessions at several campuses. The first six-week session runs from June 1 to July 9; the first intensive three-week session runs from June 7 to June 24. The second six-week session runs July 12 to August 19; the second intensive three-week session runs July 19 to August 5. Housing and meal plans are available at the Storrs campus.
Classes are held in the morning, afternoon, or evening while online classes offer a more flexible schedule for students with full-time jobs or other time constraints. Students do not have to be matriculated at UConn to enroll in summer session courses. In addition, UConnâs Non-Degree study program allows students to earn academic credits without being formally admitted to a UConn degree program. Students from other colleges and universities can transfer the credits to their own institution.
