Motorist Scott Lavelle, 33, of 19 Crabapple Lane, who was driving a 1995 Mazda Millennia westward near 179 Berkshire Road about 6:30 am May 25, came to a stop for a standing school bus that had on its flashing lights, police said.

Westbound motorist Sharon Sprouse, 41, of East Haven, who was driving a 1988 Oldsmobile 98, then drove into the rear end of the Mazda, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Sprouse an infraction ticket for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

Motorcycle Accident

Motorist Jenna Wilkie, 17, of 23 Castle Meadow Road, who was driving a 1999 Ford Windstar minivan about 5:14 pm May 23, was making a left turn from a driveway at 30 Plumtrees Road, as motorcyclist David Farrell, 47, of Bethel, was driving a 2004 BMW K-1200 westward on Plumtrees Road, police said.

As the minivan turned in front of the motorcycle, the vehicles collided, police said. There were no injuries. Police issued Wilkie a written warning for failure to grant the right of way at a private driveway.

Botsford Crash

Motorist Douglas Holcomb, 40, of 19 The Boulevard, who was driving a 2001 Dodge Stratus, was stopped at a red traffic signal on northbound South Main Street at the intersection of South Main Street, Botsford Hill Road, and Meadow Brook Road at about 2:30 pm May 25, when he was hit from behind by motorist Pearl Galla, 80, of Bridgeport, who was driving a 1995 Mitsubishi Galant, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Galla a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart and failure to carry a vehicle registration.

Warrant

Police report that on May 26 they arrested Harold Lepri, Jr, 17, of Oxford on a warrant listing charges of failure to respond to an infraction and simple trespassing. The trespassing charge stems from an incident early last year. Police released Lepri on $77 bail for a June 10 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
