Kids-On-Campus Registration Is Underway at NVCC
WATERBURY â Registrations are now being accepted for Naugatuck Valley Community Collegeâs popular Kids-on-Campus program. The summer enrichment program is for students entering grades four through ten.
More than a dozen new courses have been added to this yearâs schedule, including scrapbooking, the making of a rock band, improvisation and theater games, publisherâs studio, and jazz dance. In addition, a variety of past favorites are again being offered in subjects such as acting, computer technology, art, photography, crime busting, biology, chemistry, math, guitar, sign language, dance, and fitness.
The summer program begins August 2 and runs through August 13. Students who are registered for morning and afternoon sessions will have a supervised lunch break from noon to 1 in the cafeteria. Students may bring a bag lunch or purchase their meals.
The cost for most courses is $199, plus lab fees, if applicable, unless otherwise noted in the catalog. Additional children in the same household can register for $149 per course. Classes are offered on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is June 21. Scholarships are available for children who would not be able to participate without financial support. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is June 11.
