A Gala Gospel Concert

BRIDGEPORT — On Sunday, June 13, at 7 pm, the Bridgeport Rescue Mission will present “Wake Up Church — Wake Up,” a gala gospel concert to benefit the needy and homeless of the area and to promote awareness of the mission’s activities that directly impact on helping this growing population of homeless and impoverished people.

Golden Hill United Methodist Church has donated its facility and there is adequate free parking available.

Under the direction of the noted Praise and Worship leader Lynn Scully, the following ten groups will perform: Covenant Church Choir, First United Methodist Church Shelton Senior Choir, 3 in Accord, Stratford Baptist Church Choir, Huntington Chapel Band, Warren Harding High School Gospel Choir, Adrienne, Joe Utterback, and the mission’s own David Jackson.
